Dress Code

Golf Course Dress Code

Golf is steeped in tradition. For many decades golf has been seen as an elitist, exclusive and even stuffy sport with too many rules and a strict unwavering dress code.

At Brynhill Golf Club, we are extremely proud of our heritage but are equally proud of our modern approach. We have embraced the need for a more relaxed approach to the dress code in order for our sport to continue to thrive and become welcoming to everyone. However, etiquette and social respect both on and off the golf course remain important elements of our culture. Please click the link below for the up to date dress code policy.

Course Guidelines

Golf shoes must be worn with soft spikes. A smart standard of recognised golf attire is required at all times. Please do not take golf buggies or trollies onto any tee areas or greens and greens surrounds. Please repair all pitch marks on greens, rake bunkers after use and be aware of your pace of play.

Clubhouse Guidelines

Smart casual (including smart denim) is the accepted dress code; on some occasions, more formal attire may be required.

The following are not permitted in the clubhouse

Golf shoes, hats or caps and beachwear. For the comfort of all, we also ask that no dirty or wet clothing is worn in the clubhouse.
