Every single member we have was once in your shoes and everyone is at a different level so no need to feel intimidated. If you are a beginner our friendly resident club Professional Jordan is on hand to offer golf lessons and this is a recommended way of learning the game properly and the quickest way of going from beginner to intermediate.

The membership fee will be on a Pro-rata basis
-
At the present time we have waived the joining fee however depending on the membership level and demand this joining fee can be re-introduced at any time. This obviously does not apply if you have already joined or are in the process of joining.
-
Once you have paid a full annual membership we will allocate you a bag tag which must be on display at all times. You then need to familiarise yourself with all Health & Safety rules and also the course etiquette and local rules. From then you are welcome to use all the facilities including the golf course straight away.

The concept of handicap in golf is designed to level the playing field. The golf handicap system provides a way for any two players to have a fair match. Simply put, a golf handicap measures how good you are at the game. Based on recent scores, your handicap will be a number between 0 and 36. A player with a zero handicap is often referred to as a scratch golfer. It is possible to have a handicap lower than zero – this is called a “plus” handicap.
Once you have a golf handicap, using it is fairly simple. If you want to play a match against your buddy, the golf handicap system will tell you how to make it fair to both players. For example: If you are a 12 handicap and your competitor is a 20 handicap, you should give them 8 strokes to make the match fair.
You will need to submit 3 full 18 hole rounds of golf on a marked score card and then once this done we will allocate you an official club handicap. This handicap will then fluctuate depending on future scores.

Once again, we all start somewhere when it comes to golf and this includes the golf rules, local club rules and the course etiquette. We have created a page on this website which can be found on the link here - CLUB RULES. This is a starter page and just outlines the course etiquette along with some very basic rules to make you feel safe and comfortable on the golf course. Also, we will hold some Monday night meetings for new members where we can show a brief presentation on etiquette and rules as well as answer some questions.
